No Loud Noises


This fall has been busy, not least because of the hour recital I gave of my work in October. Colleen Phelps drove all the way from Nashville to play half the program; she wrote up a very nice reflection on the concert here. I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone’s performances and help that night.

After the concert, I traveled a bit, seeing some of the Ear Taxi festival in Chicago and then a few concerts in New York. It was great to change environment and catch up with friends. I’ve been starting work on a new percussion concerto and wrapping a project for dizi ensemble in the weeks since, plotting my imminent move from Cincinnati, studying Chinese, etc…
